I am one of 3 partners in an accountancy practice in Surrey and i've just read your November news summarising the market which i enjoyed. A 2 partner practice 5 miles away from where we are based has contacted me to ask if i am interested in buying the practice. Both partners are near retirment age and they are looking to sell within the next 12 months.
Naturally this would be the ideal type of acquisition for us as the clients are in a similiar geographical area however I have no idea of the process and what type of deal is typically structured. Can you give me an idea of the type of proposals or heads of terms that are being agreed to in the current market?
